With a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Darwish has over 20 years of community leadership experience. His roles have included providing khutbahs (sermons), leading Islamic classes, organizing events, and engaging in crisis management, fundraising, and strategic planning.

Muslims for Humanity focuses on providing relief services to vulnerable populations, particularly widows, orphans, and low-income families.
