Our Islamic values inform our work and the advocacy we seek in our local Connecticut Muslim communities. These values also guide the strategy and tactics of our outreach programs, and activities.
I. We advocate on issues relevant to the common interest of the Muslim community and common good for Connecticut residents as a whole through dialogue and engagement with Elected Officials. |
II. We believe in the power of inclusion and uniting Muslims from diverse socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, and sectarian backgrounds to have a unified voice as a community in the state of Connecticut. |
III. We have a strong ethical foundation as an organization and aim to evolve into one of the leading reliable voices for challenges most pressing to the Connecticut Muslim community. |
IV. We speak out audaciously and without exception against Islamophobia and bigotry, discrimination, and injustice. |
V. We embrace partnership and collaboration with other groups when interests intersect so we can achieve more with like-minded organizations and institutions. |
VI. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of accountability and integrity as a political and civic liaison group. We are committed to producing measurable results for the benefit of the entirety of Muslim community of Connecticut. |
